Tartan or plaid in the United States, is known to be a textile dominated by Mexican lowriders - Americans, located south of Los Angeles. "Pendleton plaid" is called the textile they wear and there are countless stores that manufacture and manufacture this pattern in T-shirts. This garment was born along with the lowrider movement since the 1940s. Today it is still worn as a symbol of pride.
The word "plaid" is sometimes confused or used to refer to the tweed fabric and weaving of small pictures, (also known as tartan pictures). But the reality is that, whatever the name is, this textile is connection. How can a garment, a piece of cloth become so important to many people and cultures? 
Because clothes connect us, it’s the story behind them.
