I identify with the grunge style. Not only because of my way of dressing but also as a way of life. The grunge emerged in Seattle, United States, in the late 80's. Was an alternative rock subgenre influenced by punk, noise rock, heavy metal and classic rock. The major references were Nirvana and Pearl Jam bands who showed an anti-commercial and rebellious stance. The most characteristic of the fashion of this style are; broken jeans, borceguies, checkered prints, jean jackets and leather jackets. Besides being very comfortable clothes I feel identified with the character that represented this style, I also love music especially rock. I like the timeless because of this I choose this style. I usually add things from new trends but I always keep my style and my essence. I believe that what we wear speaks for us. It's a way of communicating to society who we are. Grunge contains many issues that identify me; music, rebelliousness, freedom of expression and authenticity. I don't think we have to spend a lot of money to "dress well" the important thing is that you feel comfortable with who we are. Take the attitude in ourselves and believe in ourselves. Personally I wear cheap clothes. I usually buy in small brands and I have also made or customized my own clothes by myself. So for this reason I don't think we have to be millionaires to have our own identity and our own style. The most important thing is not how others sees us the important thing is how we see ourselves.
